What is Feltipen?
When reading books, you can highlight important sections of text for quick later reference. Feltipen gives you the same experience on web pages.
How to use it?
  • Click Here to Install Feltipen (for Google Chrome)
  • When reading articles on the web, just select the text you wish to mark ⇢ right click ⇢ click on Mark Text
That's it. The next time you re-visit that web page, you will see the markings you previously made.
Why was it built?
Marking key points while reading articles on the web & being able to quickly glance through them later - felt like such a natural piece of (missing) experience.

It ended up being used for more interesting stuff ...
Usage Examples
  1. Reading at Google's Python Class, marking notes for quick later reference
  2. Following Hacker News topics - Linux, Google+, hanselman.com or by pg
  3. Following users on stackoverflow to highlight their questions
Just like when you read a book, mark important lines and they stay highlighted when you revisit the page. You can hide or remove these markings later o'course!
On forums such as HN / Digg / Reddit, mark a particular topic / keyword / username to automtically highlight such posts when you browse through the forum!
On sites such as stackoverflow or perhaps facebook or twitter, mark specific user names to highlight posts from them for quick spotting!
